An online meeting aimed at informing young researchers at NASA research institutions and organizations about the European Commission's Horizon Europe research and innovation program was held on March 5, 2022.
Tofig Babayev, Director of R.I.T.A., Digital, Industry and Space NCP of Horizon Europe, Head of e-Commerce working group, made a presentation on "Prospects within the Horizon Europe Program". He noted that the aim of the European Commission's 9th Framework Programme Horizon Europe is to raise scientific research carried out in the European Union to the level of the strongest scientific research in the world, ensure competitiveness of the European industry worldwide, and create new jobs for people to live in a favorable environment.
The speaker also talked in detail about the goals of the program, innovations, new call mechanisms, ways of joining the program and financial opportunities, and urged young researchers to take an active part in international projects.
The online meeting included an exchange of views on bringing new calls for proposals within the framework of Horizon Europe to the scientific community, preparation of projects by Azerbaijani scientists, and the importance of organizing such webinars on a regular basis.
