Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Information Webinars continued
On February 1st, 2021, an information webinar on the Green Deal Call was organized for Azerbaijani scientists participating in international projects within the European Commission's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Program, as well as for employees of Baku State University, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Azerbaijan State University of Economics and Azerbaijan Technical University.
The webinar was conducted by members of the Horizon 2020 NCP Network, coordinated by the Vice President of ANAS, Academician Ibrahim Guliyev. It provided detailed information on 10 thematic areas and relevant topics related to the Green Deal Call.
Rovshan Kerimov, NCP for Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials, told the participants about the topics of “Growing Climate Ambitions: Cross-Sectoral Challenges” thematic area, the rules of registration on the Horizon 2020 portal, and the priorities of the new Horizon Europe program for 2021-2027.
Ilham Humbatov, NCP for the COST Action program, and Zaur Hasanov, NCP for the Mari Sklodowska-Curie Actions, spoke in detail about the wide range of possibilities of these programs and projects successfully implemented by Azerbaijani scientists.
Tofig Babaev, Director of R.I.T.A., Legal & Financial NCP of HORIZON 2020, eTrade expert in the EU4Digital project, introduced the participants to the thematic areas “Raising knowledge to support Europe's green challenges”, “Sustainable and smart mobility” and “Enhancing Citizens' Ability to Transition to a Neutral and Sustainable Europe”, “Efficient Buildings That Conserve Energy and Resources”, Farid Seyfullayev, NCP for Food Safety, Sustainable Agriculture, Marine and Maritime Research, Bioeconomy and Biotechnology, - “From Farm to Fork”, Aynura Masimova, NCP for Space, - “Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services”, and talked about the aims and expected outcomes of various topics in these areas.
