Information webinars for civil servants were held
Under the coordination of the Vice President of ANAS, Academician Ibrahim Guliyev, the Foreign Relations Office of the Presidium of the Academy held informational webinars on Green Deal Call for representatives of government agencies within the framework of the European Commission's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Program was held on January 15, 2021. The webinars were attended by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Energy, the State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, the Agency for Innovation, the Academy of State Customs, the Ministry of Economy, "Clean City" OJSC, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Development Agency, as well as specialists of the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park.
At the event, members of the Horizon 2020 NCP Network provided detailed information on 10 thematic areas and relevant topics related to Green Deal Call.
Rovshan Kerimov, NCP for Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials, told the participants about the requirements for those wishing to take advantage of the possibilities of this call, the rules for registering organizations and specialists on the Horizon 2020 portal, finding partners and contacting them, priorities of the new Horizon Europe program covering 2021-2027, as well as the "Growing Climate Ambitions: Cross-Sectoral Challenges" thematic area.
Presentations were made on various thematic areas and their sub-areas: Farid Seyfullayev, NCP for Food Safety, Sustainable Agriculture, Marine and Maritime Research, Bioeconomy and Biotechnology - "From Farm to Fork" and "Zero Pollution, Environment Free from Toxic Substances"; Tofig Babaev, Director of R.I.T.A., Legal & Financial NCP of HORIZON 2020, eTrade expert in the EU4Digital project, introduced the participants to the thematic areas - “Raising knowledge to support Europe's environmental challenges” and “Enhancing Citizens' Ability to Transition to a Neutral and Sustainable Europe”; Aynura Masimova, NCP for Space, - “Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services”; Farhad Aliyev, NCP for Future and Emerging Technologies - "Industry for a Clean and Circular Economy".
Ilham Humbatov, NCP for the COST Action program, and Zaur Hasanov, NCP for the Mari Sklodowska-Curie Actions, told the participants about the possibilities of these programs and how to use them.
