Tofig Babayev, FET& ICT NCP HORIZON2020 in Azerbaijan, Director of R.I.T.A., took part in the Idealist2018 Innovation Management Training Seminar in Warsaw, Poland, on 16 June 2016. The training seminar covered 6 themes that included such topics as Innovation concepts, Types of innovation, Drivers for technology innovation, Innovation projects, Interaction between research and innovation, Project innovation management, Organisational innovation, Risk management, People management, Technology evolution, Technology intelligence, Innovation in the EU, Innovation Ecosystems, Funding for innovation projects, Service innovation (from FP7/H2020), etc.

Tofig Babayev, FET& ICT NCP HORIZON2020 in Azerbaijan, Director of R.I.T.A., and Khalida Melikova, Deputy Director of R.I.T.A. took part in the EECA Cluster Final Event "EU-EECA R&I collaboration in the field of Information and Communication Technologies” held in Chisinau, Moldova, on 13-14 June 2016 and in the Final review of EAST-HORIZON and EECA-2-HORIZON cluster projects on 15 June 2016.
Six national experts, including Elkhan Sabziyev, senior researcher of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS, Dr. Ismayil Alakbarov CEO of Neuron Technologies, Emin Guliyev, CEO of Appsheron LLC, Vusal Abbasov, participated in the NEM and NESSI sessions and presented their project proposals.

Tofig Babayev, FET& ICT NCP HORIZON2020 in Azerbaijan, Director of R.I.T.A., participated with the Azerbaijani delegation in the EASTERN PARTNERSHIP COORDINATION WORKSHOP FOR THE HDM ACTION PLAN 2016-2017 in Brussels, Belgium, on 9 and 10 June 2016. HDM Initiative aims to expand the possibilities of e-trade between the countries of the EU and EaP. Speaking at the event, Tofig Babayev made a presentation on the current situation with the e-Customs system.

Director of R.I.T.A., FET& ICT NCP HORIZON2020 in Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Relations and Innovation Department of the Institute of Control Systems Tofig Babayev participated in the XXIII International Specialized Forum on Telecommunications, Information and Banking Technologies TIBO 2016 held on 19-22 April 2016 in Minsk, Belarus, as part of the Azerbaijani delegation headed by Minister of Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade.

TIBO is one of the largest ICT events in the CIS and Baltic countries. TIBO 2016 gathered more than 100 companies from 18 countries (Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Finland, Sweden, the UK, Turkey, China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, the United States). The business program of TIBO 2016 forum included 25 events, including forums, conferences, roundtable sessions, seminars-presentations where national and foreign experts presented cutting-edge solutions in information technologies.

On March 15-16, 2016, within EU IncoNet Eap Project, Ukrainian Ministry of Science and Education has organized meeting of national coordinators of "Horizon-2020” Program and practical probations for members of Working group by participation of international specialists engaged in energy, climate change, health care and other areas.

At the conference were attended director of RITA, head of International relations and innovation department of the Institute of Control Systems PhD in engineering Tofig Babayev, leading research officer of the Institute of Control Systems Elkhan Sabziyevdeputy head of International Relations Department of ANAS Presidium Administration, national coordinator of "Horizon-2020” Program on Azerbaijan Zarifa Aliyeva, lab chief of the Institute of Radiation Problems, corresponding member of ANAS Islam Mustafayev, , leading specialist of the Institute of Geography PhD in geography Rovhsen Karimov, leading specialist of the Institute of Physics Elchin Jafarov and chief department of Gafgaz University Zafar Hasanov.
