ICT 2015 Conference - Lisbon- 20-22 October 2015


The Azerbaijani delegation (Director of R.I.T.A. Dr. Tofig Babayev, Elkhan Sabziyev, IT expert, Kiber Ltd, Gulchin Abdullayeva, head of laboratory, Institute of Control Systems, Sevinj Babayeva, senior specialist of R.I.T.A.) participated in the ICT 2015 Conference on 19-22 October 2015 in Lisbon, Portugal.
ICT 2015 Conference organised by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology in cooperation with Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, is specifically dedicated to networking and promoting research and innovation in the field of Information and Communication Technologies. The event presented the European Commission's policies and initiatives in the ICT field, with a focus on the new Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2016-17, including ICT calls across all three pillars of Horizon 2020. It offered an exceptional occasion to build quality partnerships as it will connect academia, research institutes, industrial stakeholders, SMEs and government actors from all over Europe.
During conference Azerbaijani participants took part in the following activities:
- Workshop Horizon 2020: Developing Winning Proposals organized by Paul Drath Singleimage Limited and Ideal_IST (19 October 2015 Idealist). This workshop explained how to develop a winning proposal for collaborative research projects in the areas of Societal Chalenges and Enabling and Industrial Technologies programmes of HORIZON 2020.
- EECA Cluster networking session "ETPs –EECA countries Communities networking”. During networking NESSI and NEM ECCA collaboration were discussed.
- Ideal-ist booth.
Azerbaijani researchers who took part in the event had over 49 face-to-face meetings and established contacts with their potential consortium partners.
R.I.T.A. team presented 10 project ideas and had 49 face-to-face meetings, discussing the issues of creating consortia within the framework of the Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2016-17 calls.
