EU4Digital: eTrade Network 3rd Workshop
3rd Workshop of the EU4Digital: eTrade Network, one of the regional networks created within the HDM Initiative between EU and EaP countries, took place in Odessa, Ukraine on 14-15 September.
The main goal of this workshop was to: a) present and approve the results of the eTrade/eLogistics study, including the gap analysis and experts recommendations for eTrade/eLogistics platforms development in the partner countries and with the EU, as well as to b) plan and coordinate further project actions and HDM pilots to be proposed for inclusion in the updated action plan 2017-2020 of the eTrade Network.
The Azerbaijani team participating in the workshop consisted of
1. Anar Suleymanov, Advisor to the World Customs Organization Customs Modernization, Deputy Head of Department for Performance Measurement and Development Programs at the State Customs Committee of the Azerbaijan Republic;
2. Ramin Bayramov, Deputy Head of Transport and Infrastructure Development Department at the Ministry of Transport of the Azerbaijan Republic;
3. Tofig Babayev, Director of R.I.T.A. , EU4Digital: eTrade Network expert, FET& ICT NCP HORIZON2020 in Azerbaijan;
4. Etibar Umudov, Chief Advisor of the Science, Technology and Information Society Development Department at the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of the Azerbaijan Republic.
On 14 September, T. Babayev made a presentation, reporting on the eTrade/eLogistics Study Results and Road Map for Azerbaijan, and on 15 September, Anar Suleymanov spoke on the mechanisms of exchange of information, including pre-arrival import/export information between the partner countries and with the EU.
T. Babayev and other members of the Azerbaijani team participated in the discussion of the list of projects for the 2018 plan for eTrade.
In conclusion, the eTrade/eLogistics national and regional Road Map was prepared to be presented for endorsement at the 3rd Panel on Harmonisation of Digital Markets (3rd HDM Panel) in Brussels on 19 and 20 September 2017.
