2nd EU4Digital: eTrade Workshop
The 2nd EU4Digital: eTrade Workshop of the 2nd Panel on Harmonisation of Digital Markets (2nd HDM Panel) of the Eastern Partnership Platform 2: "Economic Integration and Convergence with EU Policies” took place in Minsk, Belarus on 6-7 June 2017. The delegation of Azerbaijani participants included:
1. Tofig Babayev, Director of R.I.T.A., FET& ICT NCP HORIZON2020 in Azerbaijan;
2. Anar Suleymanov, World Customs Organization Customs Modernization Advisor, Deputy Head of Department for Performance Measurement and Development Programs at the State Customs Committee of the Azerbaijan Republic;
3. Muhammad Rzayev, Advisor to the Chairman on Strategic Development Issues of the Azerbaijan Railways OJSC, Managing Partner of LV Caspian Ltd;
4. Etibar Umudov, Chief Adviser of the Science, Technology and Information Society Development Department at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Azerbaijan Republic.
The main goal of the workshop was to present the approach of the Study project on eTrade and eLogistics topics (including the Digital Transport Corridor component) and discuss early findings, including from field research and stock taking, as well as to plan and coordinate further actions and pilot projects. Relevant stakeholders from the partner countries and key EU MSs participated in this second workshop and actively contributed their experiences and best practices.
On 6 June T. Babayev and A. Suleymanov made their reports on the preliminary Study results and findings in Azerbaijan. On 7 June, T. Babayev participated in the discussion of the plans of Partner countries for eTrade/eLogistics actions in 2018-2020.
