Information webinars on Green Deal Call
Under the coordination of the Vice President of ANAS, Academician Ibrahim Guliyev, the Foreign Relations Office of the Presidium of the Academy organized informational webinars on Green Deal Call with the participation of members of the NCP Network of the European Commission's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Program was held on Yanuary 14, 2021. The webinars were attended by representatives of scientific institutions of the Divisions of Physical and Mathematical and Technical, Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Biological and Medical Sciences of ANAS, as well as researchers and specialists of the Khazar University.
At the webinars, Rovshan Kerimov, NCP for Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials, announced the Green Deal Call, which includes 10 thematic areas, gave information on the conditions for participation in the competition, registration rules on the Horizon 2020 portal and contacting potential partners, as well as the priorities of the new Horizon Europe program, which will cover 2021-2027. He also told the participants about the topics of the “Growing Climate Ambition: Cross-Sectoral Challenges” thematic area and opportunities to use them.
The NCPs provided the participants with detailed information on various thematic areas, their sub-areas and themes: Aynura Masimova, NCP for Space - “Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services”; Farid Seyfullayev, NCP for Food Safety, Sustainable Agriculture, Marine and Maritime Research, Bioeconomy and Biotechnology - "From Farm to Fork"; Tofig Babayev, Director of R.I.T.A., Legal & Financial NCP of HORIZON 2020, eTrade expert in the EU4Digital project, and Ayten Huseynova, NCP for Nanotechnology, Advanced Materials and Advanced Technologies - "Energy-Saving and Resource-Saving Efficient Buildings", “Raising knowledge to support Europe's environmental challenges” and “Enhancing Citizens' Ability to Transition to a Neutral and Sustainable Europe”, Aygun Babayeva, NCP for Healthcare, Demographic Change and Welfare - "Zero Pollution, Environment Free from Toxic Substances".
Zaur Hasanov, NCP for the Mari Sklodowska-Curie Actions, made a presentation on the areas of the program, and Ilham Humbatov, NCP for the COST Action program, spoke about the broad opportunities for cooperation in this program.
A wide audience watched the webinars with great interest and activity, and the participants' questions were answered.
