The Institute of Control systems participated in the National Erasmus+Information Day

Director of R.I.T.A., head of the Foreign Relations and Innovation Department of ICS ANAS Dr. Tofig Babayev participated in the National Erasmus+ Information Day held at the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry on 16 December 2015. Dr. Babayev made a presentation on the opportunities for young scientists to participate in European framework programmes. Over 60 representatives of all accredited higher education institutions, governmental institutions, the Civil Society and other Tempus stakeholders took part in the Information Day, including head of Department of the Ministry of Education of the Azerbaijan Republic Sulhaddin Gezalov, Karolina Garbaliauskaite from the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of European Commission (EACEA), Coordinator of the ERAZMUS+ projects Prof. Reza Talebi-Daryani from Cologne University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Mustafa Babanli, rector of the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry.

CRDF Global Baku Workshop was held at the Caspian Plaza on 11 December 2015

More than 20 participants took part in workshop. Deputy chief of International Relations Department of ANAS Ms. Zarifa Aliyeva and Director of R.I.T.A., Head of department of the Institute of Control Systems Dr. T. Babayev take part in Workshop.

Dr. T. Babayev, ICT&FET NCP HORİZON in Azerbaijan, director of RİTA, head of "International Relations and Innovation” department of the Institute of Control Systems made a presentation on HORİZON2020 "Opportunities presented for researchers of different countries to participate in European research projects” at the workshop. In the first part of the presentation, information was given on the history and aims of EU framework programs from 1984 to the present. The second part of the presentation was devoted to detailed information on Horizon2020, its structure, main areas and topics. The third part dealt with the participation in the program: search and selection of subjects, preparation of project proposals, evaluation of submitted project proposals, etc.

During the discussion that followed the presentation, Dr. T. Babayev answered the interested participants' several questions.

Training "Fundamentals of Technology Transfer” was held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University on 04 December 2015 for 15 participants from university.

Dr. T. Babayev, Director of R.I.T.A., ICT&FET NCP HORİZON in Azerbaijan, head of department "International Relations and Innovation” department of the Institute of Control Systems made a presentation on Horizon2020 "Opportunities presented for researchers of different countries to participate in European research projects” at the training. 1st PANEL ON HARMONISATION OF DIGITAL MARKETS (1st HDM PANEL)  Brussels, 18-19 November 2015 The Azerbaijani delegation consisting of Director of R.I.T.A. Dr. Tofig Babayev, Chief Advisor of MCHT Etibar Umudov and HDM expert, Business Development Manager of "Sinam” Ltd., Vusal Abbasov took part in the 1st Panel on Harmonisation of Digital Markets (1st HDM Panel), Eastern Partnership Platform 2: "Economic Integration and Convergence with EU Policies” in Brussels on 18 and 19 November 2015.
The discussions during the 1st HDM Panel were structured around 6 priority topics which have been the focus of the HDM Study: eCommerce for SMEs; eCustoms; electronic identification and trust services; network and information security and cyber-security; digital skills and telecom rules. One additional session focused on further topics, as addressed by the Ministerial Declaration on digital economy. Each discussion topic was introduced through a short presentation of the main findings and recommendations of the HDM study. The participants then discussed priority actions for 2016-2017, including the aims, expected benefits and measurable targets.
After the 2 days' discussions, a preliminary decision was made that Azerbaijan is the leading EaP country (co-leading with Belarus) for eCustoms and co-leading for e-trade platform.

ICT 2015 Conference - Lisbon- 20-22 October 2015 The Azerbaijani delegation (Director of R.I.T.A. Dr. Tofig Babayev, Elkhan Sabziyev, IT expert, Kiber Ltd, Gulchin Abdullayeva, head of laboratory, Institute of Control Systems, Sevinj Babayeva, senior specialist of R.I.T.A.) participated in the ICT 2015 Conference on 19-22 October 2015 in Lisbon, Portugal. 

ICT 2015 Conference organised by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology in cooperation with Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, is specifically dedicated to networking and promoting research and innovation in the field of Information and Communication Technologies. The event presented the European Commission's policies and initiatives in the ICT field, with a focus on the new Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2016-17, including ICT calls across all three pillars of Horizon 2020. It offered an exceptional occasion to build quality partnerships as it will connect academia, research institutes, industrial stakeholders, SMEs and government actors from all over Europe.

a) IDEALIST Training on Pre-proposal check held on 5 October, 2015
During the training,participants shared their experiences in preparation of proposals and NCP activities and made presentations and discussion inquiries on HORIZON 2020 Workprogramme. 

b) H2020-ICT/FET National Contact Points Training on H2020 Workprogramme 2016-17 held on 6-7 October, 2015
This workshop explained the main goals and options of FET workprogramme, ICT in Research Infrastructure and Societal Challenges, ICT LEIT Workprogramme.
The trainings were useful for consulting Azerbaijani researchers in the issues of grant agreements for Horizon2020 in 2016-2017.

During the event two parallel session was held:
