Information day on the Horizon Europe program was held for universities
Information day on the EC Horizon Europe research and innovation program was held for representatives in charge of international relations of universities of Azerbaijan with the organization of the coordinator of the Horizon Europe NCP Network, Vice President of ANAS Academician Ibrahim Guliyev and with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Opening the event, Mujat Hasanov, head of sector at the international cooperation department of the Ministry of Education, brought up the importance of this program for scientists and university specialists and the need to strengthen activities in this area.
Associate Professor Esmira Alirzayeva, Head of the Department of International Scientific Cooperation of the Office of the Presidium of ANAS, informed the participants about the results of activities within the framework of the Horizon 2020 program, about workshops, webinars, training courses on the use of the program held by the European Commission, ANAS and members of the NCP Network, told the participants about the prospects of the Horizon Europe program for scientists and specialists of Azerbaijan. She proposed establishing a coordination network with colleagues from universities for the effective transfer of information and innovations and joint activities.
At the event, Tofig Babayev, PhD in Engineering, Director of R.I.T.A., Legal & Financial NCP, Head of Foreign Relations and Innovation Department of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS, spoke in detail about the goals of the Horizon Europe program, its innovations, mechanisms of new calls, ways of joining the program and financial possibilities.
Detailed information was provided on the writing and structure of and correct approaches to projects that will be submitted by national coordinators within the framework the Center for European Studies and COST Action, the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions scholarship program, on the subject of “Horizon Europe: a health work program and the opportunities of the project”, as well as the criteria for expert evaluation of projects.
