25th NEM General Assembly
Director of R.I.T.A. Tofig Babayev attended the 25th General Assembly of NEM Initative that took place in Brussels, Belgium, on 30 May 2018.
The NEM Initiative – New European Media Initiative – is a European Technology Platform, fostering the convergence among Media, Content, Creative industries, Social Media, Broadcasting and Telecom sectors, as well as Consumer electronics to develop a common innovation environment for the new European media landscape.
The program of the Assembly included addresses from EC representatives, elections of new members of the NEM Steering Board, approval of NEM SRIA (Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda) 2018, discussion on NEM research and innovation roadmaps, presentation of NEM position and white papers, talks on special topics, as well as presentation of NEM ambassadors. As a representative of one of the new NEM Ambassadors, T. Babayev made a presentation with the suggestions on improving the activity of NEM and enhancing the participation of researchers and organizations from non-EU countries, including Azerbaijan, in EU projects.
