Idealist2018 Technical Seminars in Paris
Director of R.I.T.A., FET& ICT NCP HORIZON2020 in Azerbaijan Tofig Babayev participated in the Idealist2018 Technical Seminars on the topics of "Big Data, 5G, Photonics, Internet of thinks” held on 28-29 January 2016 in Paris.
The aim of these Seminars was to provide ICT NCPs with a comprehensive idea about latest developments/current trends in the abovementioned areas to better equip them in their duties to check proposal outlines and give feedback on whether they are innovative, beyond the State-of-Art and in line with the EU’s policies and objectives.
The presentation on Big Data given by Dr. Edward Curry from the Insight Centre for Data Analytics (Ireland) was entitled "Big data: Beyond the Hype, Delivering Value”, explaining Big Data technology and how it is transforming industry and society. Dr. Werner Mohr, Head of Research Alliances at Nokia Solutions and Networks Management International GmbH (Germany), spoke on the topic of 5G. Dr. Paul Stefanut Optics Valley (France) made a presentation on Photonics and Internet of Things was covered by Dr. Katharina Reusch from Hartree Centre, IBM.
The speakers provided the participants with essential knowledge in their respective areas and discussed the relevant calls in the H2020 Work Programme 2016-17.
