Ganja State University hosted a seminar on the opportunities of Horizon 2020 program
A regional seminar on the Horizon 2020 program was held at Ganja State University with the support of the Ministry of Education and on the initiative of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences on 28 February 2020.
Asif Javadov, senior adviser to the university rector, who opened the event, introduced the guests to the participants.
Tofig Babayev, Director of RİTA, Legal & Financial NCP of HORIZON 2020, eTrade expert in the EU4Digital project, Ilham Gumbatov, Head of Science Department of the National Anti-Doping Agency of Azerbaijan Ilham Gumbatov, and Ayten Huseynova, deputy head of the project management department of the Office of International Relations of the Presidium of ANAS gave the participants detailed information about the program. They said that the main purpose of the seminar is to ensure high level research, involve scientists in that research, strengthen their international cooperation, and create favorable conditions for the exchange of opinions. They noted that the program reflected issues such as promoting the competitiveness of innovative enterprises, creating new jobs, improving lifestyles and financial well-being, stimulating the growth of investment in business research and ensuring priority in areas with a possibility of innovation development. The guests also gave information on individual and group grants in various areas of the program.
The seminar ended with a Q&A session.
