ICT Proposers' Day | 9-10 October 2014 Dear colleagues, you are welcome to take part in the ICT Proposers' Day 2014, which will be held in Florence, Italy, on 9th and 10th October 2014. 
The ICT Proposers' Day is a networking event to promote European ICT Research & Innovation, focusing on the Horizon 2020 Work Programme for 2015
This event is free of charge. It will focus on the Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2015 in the field of Information & Communication Technologies. It offers an exceptional opportunity to build quality partnerships as it will connect academia, research institutes, industrial stakeholders, SMEs and government actors from all over Europe.

Horizon 2020-ICT/FET National Contact Points Training , 17-18 September 2014 ,Brussels

Director of R.I.T.A., ICT/FET NCP in Azerbaijan, Dr. Babayev participated in the Horizon 2020-ICT/FET National Contact Points Training held on 17-18 September 2014 in Brussels. The training was mainly devoted to the upcoming ICT calls in Horizon 2020 for 2015 and the information on the ICT Proposer’s Day in Florence on 9-10 October 2014.

14th Iranian Conference on Fuzzy Systems, 19-21 August 2014, Tabriz, IRAN

Director of R.I.T.A., ICT/FET NCP in Azerbaijan, Dr. Babayev took part in the 14th Iranian Conference on Fuzzy Systems at Sahand University of Technology in Tabriz, Iran, on 19-21 August 2014. At the conference, Dr. Babayev gave a keynote presentation on "Opportunities presented by HORIZON2O20 for researchers of different countries to participate in European research projects”, after which Dr. Babayev was invited to give the same presentation at Maragha University. Agreements of cooperation with Sahand University and Maragha University were reached for the purpose of joint participation in Horizon 2020 projects.

1st Workshop “Towards Harmonisation of Digital Markets (HDM) in the Eastern Partnership”

1st Workshop “Towards Harmonisation of Digital Markets (HDM) in the Eastern Partnership” 1st Workshop "Towards Harmonisation of Digital Markets (HDM) in the Eastern Partnership” was held on 29 July 2014 in Brussels and gathered about 60 delegates from 9 EU Member States, all 6 Eastern European Partner countries and officials from EU Institutions. This workshop marked the beginning of formal consultations on an Eastern Partnership Action plan on HDM. It aimed at promotion of information society policies and capacity building in the EaP for creating interoperable cross-border services between the Eastern European partner countries and with the EU. The primary goal is to identify a limited number of joint priorities as a basis for pilot projects and build political support for a new Eastern Partnership initiative on Harmonising Digital Markets (HDM).
The Azerbaijani delegation at the workshop consisted of a representative of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of the Azerbaijan Republic Mr. Umudov Etibar, Vugar Safarov, Manager of Prosper Cartoon Studio & Prosper Digital Agency, and Director of R.I.T.A., ICT/FET NCP in Azerbaijan, Tofig Babayev.
Dr. Babayev made a presentation on the state of the DM in Azerbaijan (the 14 topics) and pointed out very important topics in the first stage of implementation of HDM.
The second HDM Workshop will be held in Brussels on 21-22 October 2014.

Ideal-ist Training on Innovation in Brussels on 17-18 June 2014

Ideal-ist Training on Innovation in Brussels on 17-18 June 2014 Director of R.I.T.A., ICT/FET NCP in Azerbaijan, Dr. Babayev participated in the Ideal-ist Training on Innovation held in Brussels on 17-18 June 2014. The training focused on Innovation under Horizon 2020. Over 40 participants from more than 30 countries attended the training "The SME Instrument” given by representatives of the European Commission and the training "Insights into the Innovation Process” by Christoph Mandl, Professor at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics, University of Vienna, and received certificates of participation for the latter.

EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 program A training within the framework of the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 program was held on 16 May 2014 in Lenkaran by R.I.T.A. and theLenkaran State University. 
Head of the Foreign Relations and InnovationsDepartment of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS TofigBabaev, Deputy Head of the Department of relations with the academic structures of foreign countries of the Presidium of ANAS, RuslanGasimov,PhD in Political Science, chief specialist of the DepartmentZibakhanımJafarova attended the training.Dr.Babayevmade a presentation, in which he gave detailed information on the essence, principles and scope of the program to the participants and the administrative staff of the university. 
It was emphasized at the training that the institutes and organizations of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences were interested in participating in the project. 
60 thousand academics can take part in academic exchange in the framework of Horizon 2020.
